My Head Gasket!

If it is like you said on the Belt side of the engine, I would have to think it to be the water pump. Are you due for a timing belt? Maybe the right time to do them all.

Turns out I have a leaky head gasket.

what now?

How much do those cost to replace, and does anyone know of a good place to get it done?
I'm trying to justify keeping this car any longer.

I think a couple of hours labour, 3 tops plus mats. Shouldn't be much for a head gasket. IIRC it would be about 75.00 I think.

Did any of the coolant get into the engine? was the car burning white smoke?

I doubt only a couple of hours . Maybe for a valve cover . It's got to be more , it's alot of work to remove the head .

Well,

had Burnin21 come by and have a look.

turns out it looks like a water pump gasket.

A big difference from a head gasket.
