How do I increase my resolution without making my icons so tiny?

First and easiest trick is to right click on your desktop, hit 'Properties' then the 'Appearance' tab and then bump up your Font size. If that doesn't do it for you, then you need the following paragraph...

What you need to do is right click on the desktop, click on 'Properties' then 'Settings' and hit the 'Advanced' button, then make sure you're on the 'General' tab and then change the DPI setting to 'Large' for a start, if that's still to small try the 'Custom' setting.

I'd also like to mention normally running a LCD outside it's native resolution (for a 20" it's normally 1680x1050) can make things appear blurry/bad looking. The LCD panel itself inside the monitor performs the best at it's native res. Sharpness everything looks better.

Well I am up to 1280 X 1024. This is going to take some getting use to. The resolution is much better, colour is better and the images are crisper. But the text is a little bit smaller now. But so far I like it. :)
