Bye Bye Focus....
#1
Mazda 3 GT sedan.

Titanium Grey Metallic
5 speed
GFX Package
Leather

Just purchased it on Wednesday night and it will be coming in within 2 to 3 weeks.
It is now at port in Vancouver and will be coming here by train.

I can't wait until it gets here.

I will be selling off all of my mods within the next couple of weeks, just look in the For Sale Forum.

I will miss the Focus for some things, but I need a change in the car. Well, I really need a four door sedan and the Mazda 3 fitted the bill.

Wow Vito,

it's too bad because you just installed the supercharger. In my opinion you made the right choice because the Mazda 3 GT is incredible! Hope everything goes smoothly!

NICE!!! Best car in its class, IMHO...

I was considering the EXACT car (model and colour) earlier this year...but I'm remaining carless and saving my pennies for now ;)

Thanks guys,

I don't have any pics of the new car yet. It should be here in about 2 weeks.

I just can't wait. I will come by the next meet, once I have my car.

Nice choice but the seats in a GS/GX? model I looked at looked like crap. Hope the GT has seats like the Maz3 sport. Great car and half the price of a new Volvo S40 which is based on the same platform.

Can some one quickly summarize the "numbers"? (hp/ft-lbs/weight)

I imagine it does everything better than the Focus? (0-60, 1/4 mile etc.)

Andrew,

The Mazda 3 GT ratings are:

2.3 liter - 160 hp @ 6500 RPM, 150 lb. ft @ 4500 RPM

Curb weight with manual transmission is 1 253 kg converts to approximately
2756 lbs.

0-60 is in low 7.0 second range
1/4 is high 15's to 16.00 second range with the manual.

SVT ZX3 - the seats in the sedan GT is the same as the seats in the Mazda 3 Sport GT (wagon). I also noticed the difference between the GT seats and the base GX/GS seats,

Hey Paolo,

I know that the bottom end of these two engines are the same, but Mazda has redesigned the whole top end of this engine.
