I'm making like $5 off a set of pads and maybe $7 off a set of rotors and you have the gall to call me out for doiung you a favor?

to everyone else, thank you for your patience, i will keep you informed of any new info as i get it. orders like this take time and i have no control over when i get the parts at this point.

Sorry for the wait but again, if you are stressing for brakes, please let me know and i will ship out what i currently have.

It's a good thing for you I wasn't a part of this group buy - and I guess a good thing for me too. I did need brakes (and have since purchased and installed them) but I wasn't impressed frankly with the way the GB was going.

Thanks for letting us know in no uncertain terms how you deal with customers who ask difficult questions or call BS when they think they see it. Maybe it's just me but I can think of half a dozen better responses for a supplier to give than the one you did.

My personal opinion is that for you to now state "I have no control over when I get the parts" at this stage of the GB is disingenuous at best - you might have thought to let prospective participants know this up front.

I have no idea what your sponsorship entitles you to here at FocusCanada.net ... but common sense suggests that insulting your customers isn't something you should be doing ... whether you feel you're entitled to or not.

And make no mistake about it ... IMO the words you directed at Bryan should be considered an insult to all members here.

please do not try and make it sound like i have contempt for the rest of the members of this site, because that could not be further from the truth.

Bryan is a unique person that needs to be delt with uniquely.

If he was so concerned with getting his parts he could have resorted to a PM, like others did and i would have sorted him out, but he decided to make a public scene for the sake of being an ass like always.

had it been anyone else who voiced a concern, they would have received a much different responce.

oh and keep this on topic, any comments or questions about Meford and this GB can be directed to me via PM. anything posted here will be deleted.

also, i called today to get a firm answer on delivery date... responce: "some time next week, we hope."

got the PO# off them and called Hawk directly, responce: "we will get back to you with a shipment date."


I don;t know what to say guys, if this is going to keep going on like this i'm going to have to issue you guys refunds as well as a "sorry for the hassel Store credit."


I have one set of pads in stock and all the rotors, again, if anyone is stressing for brakes, please let me know and i can ship this set out post-haste.

and Mo, your rotors are in, you can pick them up thrusday night if you like or at the BBQ!

Well, that's unpleasant to hear that not only all of you, but ZX3Tuning is getting the runaround from both the shipping companies, but the source as well. I too had this problem...the shipping companies and CAN Customs didn't keep me informed, screwed up the air way bill numbers, and because of them taking too long to get my orders to me, the car sat at the bodyshop for at least a day or 2 longer than it needed to be, and making me miss the FC.net BBQ...the 3rd year in a row now.

I also am having issues with comapnies I've just bought stuff from on Ebay...don't get any straight answers, etc etc...Yeah, it's awesome paying for stuff long before getting it, let alone being told if it's been sent or not.

I don't think Mitch is to blame...he only can tell you what his suppliers tell him...

Maybe if you all organize another group buy, I'll think about going in...after I finish paying for all my Sega Dreamcast stuff on paypal...lol

actually after talking to a bunch of places in the US, apparently Hawk ships and makes parts in their own time. i had the rotors within 2 days from my local supplier. i still have not recieved any info from Hawk as to when my parts were or are going to be shipped. :( I'm going to call again tomorrow as today i just got the machine...

again, sorry for the delays!

Installed the brakes today. Man what a pain in the ass. Had to beat the hell out of the old rotors plus use a torch to get them off. Took almost 2 hours just to get the rotors off. but after that everything was pretty easy. After following the bed in instructions the brakes work great. Now I just need to change the brake fiuld (been in there for 5 years) and it will be complete.

Are you saying that you can get a set of Brembo Calipers and pads that will bolt right on to the front caliper monting holes for 200.00 !!!! Would we not need to then replace our rear drums with Calipers and rotors as well?

ok, sorry about this guys but this is a f**king joke.
Called Hawk today and they have yet to ship the pads and at the time could not give me an answer on when they would be shipped. tomorrow i'm going to call around to varrious distributors in the US and see if they have any instock or offer you refunds later this week if i cannot find another alternative.

sorry guys but i did not think this simple little GB would be such a daunting task to make happen.
