Ford Focus Hood Lift Question
#21
NefCanuck,Sep 8 2006, 05:55 PM Wrote:Thanks, I may just take you up on the offer, hell the performance shop got back to me by email today advising they were checking into expedited shipping for the kit I need and that was in less than 24 hours from when I made the inquiry.

THAT'S service, not like "Well, we'll get back to you if you bug us and basically say FOAD without really saying it cause we don't wanna do this job" like the conversion shop did <_<

Well its nice to hear that atleast the performance shop is interested getting the parts for you. Good customer service is a dying animal these days.

Its actually a really simple project to undertake on your own and save a ton of money while doing it.... i have everything to install what your after as i've been putting it off installing it on my car (ie. being lazy)

its the exact same parts the older hatch back cars used to use to prop up there trunks (mid80's mustangs)

if your not in a big hurry for it, i can put the parts together for you, and setup an install day .... but i can't offer the 4year guarantee :(

I won enough at the casino tonight so that I could safely eat the cost of the kit ;) (Thank my lucky charm meford4u for that) When the order comes in I'll put a call out to anyone willing to do the install with me, payment for labour to be discussed, beer or $ at the installers discretion :P

UPDATE

The hood prop kit came in today. So that means I'm putting out a call for someone willing to help me install this. If you have a rivet gun capable of driving 3/16" rivets and have a couple of hours to spare, PM me. Payment for labour at your discretion, either cash or beer.

I'd offer Daniel, but my garage is in a shambles at the moment.

My last client pawned off 17 sheets of drywall for free, and I had to put it somewhere for the time being....

I've got a pretty good-sized basement, but it's a good start.

Not going to complain though, free is good. :)

Ya can't complain about free. I can't remember the going price for drywall these days, but i'm sure thats worth a few bucks.
