Our new 2007 ZX5 is clearly InfraRed. The only red for 2007, according to Ford.ca, is Vermillion.
Has anyone else got a 2007 with InfraRed? Any other colours that weren't supposed to be available in 2007?

Is Vermillion the new name for Infra Red?
My car went by "Maliblu Blue" in the sales brochures but I think the official colour name for my paint is "Bright Atlantic Blue"???

I dunno, man. If you select 06 in the Build and Price, the colour for red is InfraRed. If you select 07, it's Vermillion.
The "price sticker" on the window was clearly marked as InfraRed, and the bill of sale and ownership are marked 2007.
Tis a bit weird, but then again I have a thing for obscure, unqiue Focus stuff :D :lol:

My paint name was liquid grey, but now the official colour name is dark shadow grey.... go figure..liquid grey sounded cooler tho :P

Not really... because my 2005 was sold as "infra-red", same thing with the paint code, etc. When I went to the dealership to get touch up paint, it was listed as infra-red, not vermillion.
The old vermillion coded cars were a deeper shade of red, not the bright blood red of ours
Does a shorty anntena count as a mod??

Right ... but technically Infra-Red (E4) doesn't exist anymore because for '07 they changed the name to Vermillion (E4) ... and so NOS window sticker should say Vermillion because their car is E4 ... but according to NOS ...

nos's problem is probably just a lil typo on things..and yea, someone said the difference is the shade, he's right, a code from 06 to 07 can be the same but completely different shades or even colours for that matter. I deal with it everyday, worst for stuff like this is subaru, use the same code for the same colour on the same year just different tints..not fun when trying to figure out what colour to make the customer lol...so yea, nos, best bet, go to crappy, but a touch up or infra red and vermillion red, and figure it out that way, cuase if 07 is sposed to be vermillion, and you were written as infra red, test it out yourself

I know my Mustang's colour code is E4, Vermillion, and that is from the 1990 Ford colour book.
E4 has been around for awhile... :)
