Hey guys,
I'm also in the Windsor/Detroit area. I think I've seen your car a few times in LaSalle.
I can wax ontop of the film. They said it has a clearcoat on it, so I can treat it just like regular paint.
I was a little reluctant at first because of the price, but, I don't want to go through the hassle of re-spraying the front end after it gets road rash from driving to the US daily. And, the kit would have been about $150 cheaper, but like I mentioned, I wanted protection on the fenders, and they made them custom.
Thanks....

I have a couple of friends that have that stuff on their cars.
one of them is a jetta TDI with 300,000km on it... the 3m stuff does hold up well, but it's plastic, and it does discolour slightly.. tho not badly.. I figure if he buffed up the car, it would look good again.
But he does have the option of pulling it off and re-applying.. and I'm not sure how many resprays you'd need over 300,000km to make it look as good as it does now.

Ford will do the entire car for $200 at the time of purchase or shortly thereafter (silicone-based spray, I believe) and I also believe it has quite the warranty behind it. I'll be getting this done in the spring when we extend the warranties on the Focus as well.
