I know there was a member on this board that has done it in the past. make sure you talk to him, I know he had some problems with the speedo cable or some sort.

So i think he put the SVT engine with stock 5spd.

wait a sec that doesn't make sence ur talking about the opposite i was talking about a zetec wit and svt tranny not a svt motor with a 5 speed

really i would think that the svt tranny would be able to hack more power and in turn be a better tranny

thats what I thought to. There has to be a reason why FI guys are not upgrading to nice long geared 6 speed tranny.

The Getrag tranmission is reported not to be as strong at the MXT75 transmission. However, the internals for the SVT motor are much stronger than those found in a ZETEC
