So, My Tip Is Rusty...
#1
I kept it clean all winter, even waxed it once I cleaned it.

Looked at it last night, and its pretty rusty and nasty.

I don't know if there is any way to recover it, at least by my limited knowledge of things, short of calling MBRP and getting a replacement to weld on.

Any ideas? I think even with some rubbing compound/etc to get the rust off, it won't be all sparkly and shiny.

AND THATS THE TIP OF THE EXHAUST YOU PERVS.

I had issues with my old tip also, I just sanded it lightly with some oil and 800 gritt, then moved up to 2000 grit. Then I buffed it using a buffing wheel and some polishing compound.

I used to use NEVR-DULL, and it worked awesome...took the rust off (when there was any), and kept the steel clean and shiney.

I never had any rust for the 2 years we had ours on the sedan.

I'll keep an eye on the new one.

Good ideas Kev, Ian.

Picked some up this weekend and started working on it, looks brand new! I was pretty impressed that it took all of the rust and other gunk off in no time.

Thanks for the recommendation on it.
