a rich afr is better than a poor blown motor

*Don't look just at the AFR , timing is very important when it comes to tuning, you can have detonation even at low 10 AFR if the timing is not right. The zetec engine(stock) does not like too much timing when boosting on pump gas. Also a good tuner should look at the overall picture;like MAF voltage, fuel pressure,IAT,knock sensor,EGT and so on... hrmmm can you log :
maf voltage,
injector duty cylces,
TPS voltage
RPM
and AFR I asume you have the wideband AFR analog output hooked into the Xcal?

You'll be paying out of your arse with Chris @ tapp, and I dont think he's tuned a focus before. I was quoted $1300 for tuning.

Michael (hackish) is a great tuner and he's got great pricing. Thing is with Michael is you'll have to find a dyno...his shop doesnt have one and usually shares with Mat from makko. Mat & Michael tuned my car after Makko blew my 1st engine. The new tune is great, no drivability issues and they got me 40whp extra from turbo tom's mail order tune. Michael would need a self programming software if you want it tuned properly. So def go with SCT or diablo's self tuning options.

He does have a wideband, but I'd buy my own if I were you because he does charge to use it, I think it was $150 or something like that for me. He makes his own widebands with EGT and boost built in, for the same price as a AEM uego or whatever they are called.

Pull in third gear Right to redline.. try not to hit the limiter as it makes the graphs go all hay wire and hard to read at the end...

Pro racer is awsome BTW a great upgrade once youe get the hang of loging
