Hood Scoop Deal! (need Your Opinions On The Look)
#1
Hi everyone
i'm gettin a deal on this stock hood with custome made hood scoop in it. The first reason i wanna do this straight trade is because i have Volant and im getting ported 2000 intake manifold. Having this hood scoop for Volant, would this equal to me having Cold air intake or better?
But then again, do you think its gonna look stupid? PLEASE keep in mind my car is gettin dropped first by the end of this month aprox. 1.6".

Lol so just imagine my car dropped, with those ST200's and that lil stealthy hood scoop(hood is gonna be painted to the color of the car).

Here's a pic of the guy's car with that hood on:

Here are pics of my car:

pics are bit old...

if someone could do the photoshop it would be really nice[thumb]
let me know what you all think
Thank you

If the scoop is functional, go for it. I think it looks great, especially on my car.

I thought of that and you might want a bypass for the intake , ive seen a guy with a neon with like 6 holes for air in his hood and he dont seem to have trouble with it he used to work with me and he even drove it like that in the winter , what you could do tho is design a plexy glass cover for when the rain is really bad you can just clip it on to cover the hole.

if you start having any sputtering problems, just make a plexi cover that you can clip under the hole to stop water from getting in when it really rains.

You might be able to put a bypass some where after the filter, but i'm not sure if that would help. I think the bypasses are normally to prevent the engine taking in water if the whole filter became submerged in water.

yeah actually that dose... I paid that for the fenders to be painted that colour & the front bumper, too bad the body shop I used in Toronto used Escape Yellow and not Focus yellow...

Ya that sounds like a pretty good deal. I paid 100 to get my tail lights painted, and that was during the middle of the winter when body shops tend to be a lil cheaper.
