I drive a 2010 Golf that growls at people when it goes over 3000rpm.

Sadly I smell electioneering behind this... I mean what good is it for the Fiberals & McSquinty to get "tough on street racing" and let a sentence like this pass unchallenged?

Not that I disagree with appealing those stupidly light sentences, I just don't the motives are as righteous as they make them out to be <_<

I'm glad they are appealing, but I think they should be recharged under the new street racing laws as they would be more stiff, and would stick better, I think.
I was the only member on this board with a Yellow Focus Sedan, and a 2002+ Euro Facelift on a sedan.

Bear in mind I haven't double checked my answer with the lawyers in my office Frost, but I don't believe that unless the law is written to specifically allow people to be charged with the crime that happened before the law is proclaimed into force that they can do as you suggest.

Even if the law was so written, dunno if it would withstand a challenge under the Canadian Charter of Rights & Freedoms
