Ok my linkage has finally given it up (240k)where it secures to the tranny will no longer will remain in place(Ball and socket connection) is there any after market fix or can I just buy the actual piece that secures to the tranny? Its a small plastic item the dealer wants 200$+ for the entire linkage which I do not need are there any other fixes for this problem other than the ty-strap thats currently holding my first gear linkage in place?

This is on my 00 ZX3 but my 03 ZX3 is different. This parts for the 00 is $30.00.
There is 2 of them on the transmission I think this one is the top left if your sitting in the car.

I am having the same problem with my shifter linkage I was wondering when you push those spring loaded orange tabs in will that allow the linkage to be pulled off or is there something other way to fix this problem
