I was talking to a guy last night who owns a 2005+ ZTW. Told him about the site, but, he said the Focus was like driving a Honduh. I'm not sure if that's a good thng. :huh:

If he's talking "fun to drive" (as in "as boring as a stock Honduh is to drive") then impale him on a railroad spike & call it a day :D

for the longest time 'stock honduhs' have had double wishbone design suspensions that have almost the idea camber curve.. toss some 195/60/14 stickies in a 2200lb car and there is some very nice handling there...

hate to be a fan boy but i had more fun in my stock 91 honduh integra than my '00 focus

That's not a fair comparison in terms of cost of the integra versus the Focus. A $15k car versus a $25k car..........cmon. That's like my moron neighbour who bought a new Accord for $39k when he wanted a Lincoln MKZ but said it was too expensive after I told him his discount that I could get him was over $7k and the car priced out at $43500 and then he wanted to compare the 2 cars. I told him to compare cars that were in the same league.

you should tell your neighbor he could have gotten a 2005 LS430 with 40k miles for USD $25k

i dont understand why ppl get brand new accord/camry/taurus/mkz/insert random family car here.. when they could get their hands on an almost new example of one of the most reliable and luxurious production sedans for less money

i need to hurry up and get a CA autobroker license so i can try to make $$ of the ridic car pricing in canada

EDIT: for what its worth i was comparing the 1991 integra that i owned AFTER my 2000 focus

btw why wasn't the accord and mkz a fair comparo? i've seen a fully loaded 08 accord and it looks pretty nice inside (leather, wood, navi etc) seems like its a direct competitor of the mkz?

IMO........and yes it is just my opinion, if your going to compare the two lines of cars, the Accord is not in the same luxury category as the Lincoln. Even fully loaded his car doesn't compare in terms of the luxury features that I have as standard features in the Lincoln. If he were to say buy a Lexus, he would be bettering himself but paying thousands more than a Lincoln. But the Accord pales in comparison..........IMO.

Hate to chime in here with a "me too" comment but I have now ridden in a high end Accord & an MKZ of the same vintage and I have to agree, there is no comparing the two.

The MKZ rides better and the materialsare in fact of better quality than the Accord, now were I to sit in an Acura, I might rank it higher than an MKZ, I don't know.

FWIW: A local GTA dealer (Eastgate) is advertising '08 MKZ's for $30K again... Damn tempting <_<
