Bosch Platinum +4
#1
well this is what i sent to Bosch. I guess it should tell you how i feel about the stupid plugs. They were used on Ford Escape 2004 V6

"Extremely disappointed!!!

I can not believe your plugs are causing so much grief for me. I purchased 3 sets of Bosch Platinum +4’s and now I have to go back to original Ford plugs.

When I changed the plugs to Bosch, I was constantly getting check engine light (CEL) flashing. After speaking with my mechanic he narrowed the fault to the plugs and nothing else. So now I have to pay over $600.00 to change the catalytic converters and a new set of plugs all because of your useless plugs. I know you are offering a refund for dissatisfaction, but sometimes that doesn’t seem enough. Especially on a vehicle that requires the removal of intake manifold before replacing plugs.

Unfortunately, I’m a very dissatisfied customer. I’ll make sure to post this letter on all the clubs and forums that I belong to as well. I don’t what others to go thru what I went.

Regards,
Name+address"

i have proof of purchase. I actually replaced them recently and was too lazy to get rid of the garbage (old plugs+bag) so i guess it got lucky in that regards.

They recommend 1 step colder plugs for every 50HP you make over stock when boosted.

If you're not boosted, using one step colder plugs will hurt your power, hurt your mileage, and require replacement after 30,000km instead of 100,000. The stock plugs should be more than sufficient.
