Subwoofer Repair
#1
I've got a broken Infinity 8" Sub, not sure if its worth fixing or not. Anybody ever have this done and know about how much it costs?

Symptons: sub don't work :P , push on the cone slightly and it works until it hits a little harder note and it stops again.

Maybe i've just got a really big fridge magnet now...?

If your surround is undamaged it could be the coils(death /replace it). :(

Yet, if the surround is damaged you might fix it with a
surround repair kit.(takes patience and alot of " *#!*##@#!") ;)
(Check your sub amp, wires and fuses to.)

All connections were good, the surround is in perfect shape...I think its the coil.... I did replace it with another infinity 8' sub. I just wanted to know if the old one could be repaird because its been sitting in a box forever...
