I'm not complaining, the warmer it is the better the undercoating will penatrate the car's undercarriage :D (while I await my snow tires)

Don't take it home when you get it back. Go park in a mall parking lot or you will end up with undercoating all over your parking spot. Unless they use no-drip. Then you would be safe.

 I'm going straight in to work afterwards 'cause I got the very first appointment in the morning on Monday and letting it drip there (Though the stuff my place uses usually doesn't drip to any great degree)

By the time I leave work there won't be anything dripping :P

You too? I went to my tire guys and the ones I want are on back order (and I have a guy ahead of me in the queue who has been waiting two weeks )

The other options they were offering me weren't that much cheaper for the "Who makes these tires?" brands so I said I'll wait.

A little over a grand (including $80 to store the Michelins)

Wow, that's a high price. Did you try shopping around? I got my Goodyear EAGLE UG GW3 for $850 including rims. They are supposed to be the best winter tire according to Consumer Reports and many of the reviews I have read are very favourable. Might want to ask how much your tires cost through Bramalea Tire.

Thing is, none of the places that offer storage could do any better on prices (I think the scam is that they offer either "free" or low cost storage of your other tires and then blast you on the price of the tires that you buy :()

Over the winter I'll be grabbing new rims to run the Michelins on, since they are a very decent tire so far (9200km on them)

Put the all seasons on last week, no more EAP's :( . I noticed the car sat a little lower as well. Hopefully I can squeak through another winter without doing my neighbours a favour and plowing the street with my front skirt lol!!

Not to worry, it warms the rubber and allow the beads to seat up properly on the beads of the rims. Though don't be smooking the tires lol.

I just put on my winter tires the other day. I'm in Sudbury so you never know when the snow is going to hit lol. They say once the temp drops to +10, it's a good time to put on the winters. I got a set of Goodyear Nordics for $200 that were used one winter only (205-55-16) I threw them on my factory 16's since I have summer tires and rims now. The car sure is a much more comfortable ride when you go from a 40 profile up to a 55 lol.

yes and no. i have the Canadian tire one. it has only 80lb.ft. so i have to break loose the bolts by hand, but it'll zip them off n on quick. then i just use the torque wrench and im done.
