hey guys
I have a 2007 st with 60000 km, I'm having problems with my power steering, i noticed that it was leaking and after looking at it it appears to coming out of the cap. So this morning i started it up it ran for a minute and then i pulled it into the garage, i immediately opened to hood and saw the fluid oozing and bubbling out,also the pump is making a squealing noise when i turn the wheel either direction. Do i need a new pump or is it something simple that a just don't see. Please help if you can.

I had the steering rack on my '07 go at about 40k (I noticed a moaning noise when turning hard - no leaks though) ... I had it replaced under warranty ... if you're on the south side of 60k take it in immediately ... if not, you may be eligible for what Ford calls AWA (after warranty adjustment) for extreme cases that are just over the warranty limit - they might cover the repair or a significant portion of it.

Some dealers are set up with Ford to do their own AWA deals (ie: they don't have to go to Ford to get pre-approval to grant an AWA) - but other's aren't -- so if you don't get what you need from Dealer 1, then go to another one.
