How Much This Focus Worth?
#1
My girl is looking for a big car so she can fit her doggies in there and we come across w/ this ad.

2001 Focus wagon
35k km/5spd/pw group/alloy/zetec/sun roof, no abs.
They ask for $12500

Is it reasonable?

i got my 2000 zx3 in 2002 for 12500 with 40000km.. 2yo

not sure if the wagons are worth more but its still 4yo so i'd negociate on the price

never really looked at the average on wagons..i just did a quick search on trader and theres a 2001 with 55000km for 9950$..automatic though

warranty would probably be over either way..
ZX3T gone..

They go anywhere between ~8-13K in that year. Depending on KM, model detail and such....

try and bring them down in price. Its not like these things are selling like hotcakes.

I'm not sure. Was 2000-2001 the worst years for Focus wagon quality?
Old enough to know me limit, yet young enough to exceed it.

Don't go over 11.500

Seems pretty high, I wouldn't expect that much for my ZTS with abs, leather, auto etcetera and I'm low km too.

Just to add a comparison, I have seen a 2002 Blue in colour, automatic and
54,000 km and it was $ 12,900.

Go in at $9500 but I wouldn't pay more than $10,500.
I have a few cars.

One for my dog.
One that has no roof.
One that looks good parked at the golf course.
One that is being rebuilt by a guy named Nero..... will it ever be done?

The Zetec is an appealing point of that car, and the 2001s really aren't that troublesome. I have yet to have a really serious problem @ 74500 KMs. I'd say get the price lowered to at least 11,000 to make it worthwhile.

I bought my 2001 SE with the SPI motor last Feb. for 10,995 before taxes and interest. Could have gone lower, but REALLY needed wheels at that point in time.
