Since I posted the thread about gold EAP's, I started to think about painting my rims until I could get new ones.
So I grabbed a few cans of duplicolor bronze wheel paint and high heat primer then went at it.
total including
4 cans of bronze,
2 cans of high heat primer,
400 grid and 600 grid sand paper
and tire shine was around
$80 :D
Before
Primer
First coat of bronze
Finished wheels
Can't wait to get too work on tuesday and install them on the car.

Fantastic job Shawn and I mean that sincerely ... you might think about a clear coat for keeping it looking good longer.

thanks Ken!
I thought about doing a clear coat, but I figured if I do get nicks and scratches sanding off the clear will take me too long lol

Your atleast sensible about the fact that you are going to get nicks and scratches in that nice paint job. It just won't hold up to the driving unless it is done in a shop that can bake on the paint. But you did a good job, the rims look better and two thumbs up for you for the work you did.
And being sensible about the fact they are going to get damaged 2 minutes after you drive on them.
Okay, maybe not 2. I'll give ya 3. :D

^^^lol thanks i think ;)
as long as you let every coat set, there shouldnt be any chipping or cracking from normal road wear.
I let the high heat primer set over night before I started the first coat of bronze.
But I guess only time will tell.

I added the high heat primer cause I know how hot peoples rims and lug nuts get from installing tires and rims everyday.
So pretty much better safe then sorry I thought ;)
I took some photos of them on the car, but my camera went for a s#@t today  .
so hopefully ill have some final pics soon
