Warranty doesn't matter to me because I will probably drive the car less than 2500kms per year.

That is very very sad :(
This car needs it's legs stretched

Yeh, my poor cars. My employment situation is such that I find I have very little time to enjoy my rides. :(

I change the oil once a year, synthetic only since it came with it from the factory.
As I say to everyone, I'm keeping the car, but if someone came to me with a suitcase of cash or a certified cheque for an amount that I couldn't refuse, I'd sell the SRT4. ;)

Thank you. It was not me at armdrop but was another SS owner, from London, who has been doing lap days on a regular basis, previously with a Corvette from what I recall. He's been doing this for many years. The Cobalt SS's are definitely a great road course vehicle. :)

What did you use to smoke the tails? I'm thinking about doing it, but I want to be careful to either do it light enough that the police won't nail me for too dark taillights or have it so I can take off the tint if I have to <_<

Dan, there's a shop in Cambridge called Allstar. They can get done professionaly. I've seen their work. They don't just put tint film on it, its a different way.

I used pre cut taillight tint, then did it myself. I had to use a hair dryer to heat the tint so that it would conform to the curve of the taillights. Usually, the pros will use a steam heater (from what I have seen), but I did not have access to one.
It only cost me $30.00 in material, and a couple of hours of my time. Also, the tint is not too dark. It might appear that way in the picture, but that's probably because I took the picture in the shade.
As far as the badging, I will be debadging the SS.

Finally got off my butt and started some preassembly for installing my Kenwood DNX8120 head unit. I used a wire labeller to label all the necessary wires to ease the installation.
Here are some pics.
Installed faceplate
Back of head unit
Preassembled wire harness
Power, ground and steering wheel connections
PAC adapter for steering wheel controls
GMOS-LAN-04 adapter and harness
Main connections to head unit
