how much KM should i be getting on a full tank...
I getting arround 400k on 40 liters

is that the norm?

I get about 1100 to 1200 kms per tank! But that's on my TDI Jetta :)

ohh wait for the focus? used to get around 400 -450kms.

is it auto or 5 spd?

i tend to get between 450-550, mostly city driving, mines a 07 se with mods to and that is hard driving. usually put in about 40-42 litres on fill up. mines also 5 speed. 400 seems a little on the low side but not horrific. if you have a stock intake upgrade it and you will see a little better numbers. otherwise... ur a little on the low side of the scale

For autobox doing short haul city driving, 10.0L / 100KM is about right (My city driving is less than 3km to work one way, was hell on the overall mileage number for the Focus and even worse for the Fusion :P)

I usually get around 9L/100km in my 07 Dtec for mostly city. Mix it with about half highway and I'm about 8L/100km. For pure highway I usually end up around 6.8-6.9L/100km. My overall average for the first 35k of the car's life was 8.53L/100km.
