like said before, put on a cold air intake, you wont have a warranty from ford on that, and if some how you sucked up water it would not be covered. same thing on exhaust, you replace it and new one rusts out per say, not their problem. you will void the warranty for that specific part.
you can put a tune on and still have warranty, as long as you re load stock tune in before sending it to dealership. i had my tranny replaced under warranty being modded, also a CV joint and even a repaint to the doors due to colour fade.
bolt ons will be fine. just dont open the motor up or boost it thats all if you have concerns.

that's interesting... i was looking at getting an exhaust, making sure its bolt on and also an intake but was afraid about running into warranty being voided. I'll prob get an intake, maybe lower the car, but thats it. I'm iffy about the exhaust still

Exhaust can't void a damn thing. They'd have a hell of a time proving that a cat-back exhaust did anything to your car, period. To "uncork" the motor and add a few ponies plus some much-needed response, a cold-air intake and cat-back exhaust are your best / cheapest / quickest options.
A full cold-air intake should situate the filter element somewhere behind the front air dam, above the factory splash shield. WIth the FSWerks intake, you end up behind the driver's fog light. Not a bad place to be actually.

so your saying thats theres basically no chance water could land on the air filter and completly mess everything up?
thats the main reason im hesitant on the CAI as i do not want to cause water damage due to the air filter

Go with an SRI (short ram intake) versus a CAI (cold air intake). Still gives a boost in noise, power, and under hood bling, without the fear of hydrolocking your engine.
Fswerks Cool-Flo (click here) is a CAI, versus the Steeda intake (click here) which is an SRI.

I got my tint done in mississauga at Cobra for 180. They give you a discount if you bring another person with you! They did an awesome job on mine.

I was wanting to go with a short ram soley for the fact of risking water getting in the filter and messing s**t up.

CAI will not cause water damage.
I have a Volant that is practically a fish bowl around the filter, and I've NEVER had moisture issues.
