I just got my brand new tires mounted on my Rota DPT 17x9's
Tires are Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Spec 245/40/R17
It's funny cause these tires are basically 255 wide. It's wider then any other 245 tires. A buddy is coming over on the weekend to roll my fenders. Car is currently off the road since it's gonna be put under (hopefully short) construction.
I'm ready for traction. Are you?

Was riding on Z101 last season. I have to say honestly they were the worst tires that I ever had. They did not like rain at all.
Drifters love those tires. But then again, drifters hate traction.

lol there's a few guys running these around here and like them for the summer, never heard that complaint before. Maybe you pushed them too hard, that doesn't sounds like you nik, does it?

Make sure you put some heat in them before you act macho , as you may remember I used them at the track for over 2 years now , but they can be a bit slippery when cold , even if you have traction on all four corners ...

I got mine on today along with the brake goodies I got from Ken over the winter and some new sway bar end links (3rd set, got some Moogs this time around).
Then to top it off, I finally found a use for my summer wheels from my VW days, they've landed on the GF's echo. And they look AWESOME! Haha, I love these wheels!! Just need to track down some center caps.

Ya the snow was a bitch but my UHP's handled it like a dream at 150+ on the 401 lol tones of grip on these under rated tires.
Just gonna have to make sure there is stock in Canada at the end of the Summer as they are worn down now and will be dead by the Fall.
Sucks they only make limited quantities of them every 4 years.
But they have been on for roughly 2 weeks now.
