Mitch (ZX3tuning).

Im going to be getting Mitch do work on my head sometime in the future (port polish, new valves, etc). Also you can buy complete packages from Turbo Tom.

Also how much power is your buddy going for?

I have a local shop build a block for 300+ hp.

its pretty simple if the shop know performance machining. Where its hard is to chose all the components you want.

We are going with:
Forged rods
Forged lower comp pistons
Billet Main
ARP stud and main
New bearing thorough
Treated Block
and all the process to have everything as straight as possible. (shop owner is a mecanic Nazi.) :D

I trust this shop as they build my friend engine that run 300 shot of nitrous. ;)

Wouldn't it be easier to drop a modified Mazda engine into an Escort? considering that the Escort is a reskined Protege, probably not as much power as a Zetec but it could save some headaches when it comes to dropping in the engine.

escort zx2 has a zetec, almost the same as ours, only vct(variable cam timing) on the exhaust side and returnless fuel system. and he already has it turboed.
