Well I was on my way home from work last night, and I overheated. I popped the hood and had no coolant in the rad overflow tank. sure enough, when I filled it, it leaked from the pump and the rad. Now I have to replace both

Water pump usually has a weep hole that leaks when the pump is pooched. So I could see that.
But how could your rad leak? Did you bust a tank open? Hose maybe?

Check the thermostat housing for cracks. the zetec motors seem to have a problem with this.
