Actually regarding the fuel pump in the Focus, it's in the tank I assume, but at what point does it actually become exposed to the air in the tank rather than being totally immersed in the gasoline? Does anyone know?

When coming down to Toronto from work, it's exactly 335-340KMs to my parents' door from the office. I usually manage that on half a tank (actually only 20 - 21L), so I average about 650+ on 40L.

I wonder how I'll do with the new wires, and then with the 50% UDP :D

It is impossible to get much over 500km per tank.
