Stereo ?
#1
I want to run my car stereo off of an AC current, what would I need to make this possible. I want to set this up in my room, don't ask why. Just something I wanted to try. What do I need, and where would I get items like this, and how much???

Easiest way is to have a transformer just like you use for your cell phone. You would have to make sure that it is rated for 12V and depending on the current draw you would have to find one with the same specific rating. That is going to be the hardest part in your search.

In the toronto area you could try shops such as:

Sayal Electronics
Active Surplus
Active Electronics
Radio Shack

possible even (not 100% sure)

Zellers
Canadian Tire
2010 Hyundai Genesis 2.0T GT
2008 Jetta Sedan
2007 Colorado
2006 Jetta Wagon TDI (Totalled) (Monkey in the middle on 400)
2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart (Totalled)
2000 ZX3 (Darknights 2nd place Focus)

Ive done it before using a computer powersupply... old AT powersupplies seem to be the easiest to wire up a switch to.
