Don't get me wrong - I LOVED the BBQ. Best car event I've attended - EVER. That was the epitome of a perfect car-themed day. We'd be back in a heartbeat.

I was using coloured prose based on Raine's "attack" on my ideas. Remember, everything I've suggested so far is just an idea or a thought, and I've been attacked. Consider that for a second.

I've never suggested anything to detract from the social functionality of the forum. If nothing else, everything I've suggested keeps it quite intact. All I'm asking is that those who regard this as a social-first gathering not impede others who are looking for a more focused (no pun intended) approach to the notion of an Internet-based car club. I would never do anything to attack any of your gatherings, nor those of anyone else.

Have I ever thread-crapped on a Friday G2G? No. Did I use strong language above when referring to them? Yes, because I was tired of being put on the defensive over my views of the club. Apparently others think this is some covert plot to "convert" Focus Canada. It's not. Why is that so hard to understand?

We all have different views and different uses for Focus Canada. I'm merely asking that those of us with different ideas and views be treated the same and given the same chance. As of right now, that's hardly the case.

If anyone really can't see that, they're quite, quite blind.

I love a good debate, but this is exactly the reason I was going to "step back", and not for my purported "excessive use" of Focus Canada, as alleged.

Let's not be reactive, let's be proactive. Maybe this is the root problem with this place. We are a reactive group.

Put an idea together and produce in Adam. There is no one stopping you here (another great selling point of this place)

Get your ducks in a row, plan out waht you want to do that you think will make this place better. I'll be the first to step up and help out.

I don't think you people realize it...

This year has been a landmark year for G2Gs.. .and yes, liver soaking events, while not for everyone, are quite successful, why is everyone bitching about them?

I'll be honest, my life isn't my car.. I get out to events that are accessible to me (call me selfish), and I help people out as best I can with what I have.

if you want more events that are accessible to yourself.. organize them..just be prepared for a small showing if it's not accessible to the people you wish would show.

There are honestly a couple of people that are very close to getting a full dose of my mind... and it's not going to be pretty... just keep on bitching and moaning like this, and I swear to god, I'm going to post what I really think, and it's going to crush some of you 'dreamers'... because honestly, besides trying to reason with a few of you, I think a few of you need reality shoved up your overwound asses before it'll ever sink in.

but then again, it would show up all over the emo blogspace....and I hate the word 'blog'

I already did, man. Regional forums, and an idea I retracted about regional buy/sell forums.

This way we have regional calendars (perhaps) to track local events, and more of a "focus" on each geographical area.

Leave Focus Talk and OT alone, leave OT completely unmoderated and marked NSFW in the sub-forum title. There's too much bitching about something even I accept as a minefield, and I accept its usefulness as well.

Let's start a "3 cars of the month" or, given our active membership size, "car of the month" complete with their ride featured on the FC.net landing page.

The other stuff hasn't been as well-received, and I can appreciate that: quarterly contests and draws, increasing the sponsors, etc.

Let's have some serious suggestions from the guys that want to see some changes, and let's discontinue the attacks in favour of constructive criticism eh?

Move to North Bay. There's no rush, and the scenery is killer.

And seeing as we're in OT - we're a few hours away from finding out if we get the house or not. I'm so hyper I feel like that Jack Russel Terrier from "Fraser".

Scooba.. I'm definitely going to do C7 this year... I was our group leader last year, but had to bail out because of the constant car problems I was experiencing.

But the baby is definitely doing better this year... so I'm once again planning on going.

Wow this is terrible................I told Anthony awhile back why I havent been posting anymore and the reason was because there is waaaaaay to much drama on this board. Everything is focused in off topic and nothing is focused in Focus Talk, its like people will respond more to stupid s**t then to real s**t about your car. As for the meets if its not in your area then to bad so sad, schedule your own meet with people in your location if you love to be part of the club soooooo bad then move closer to more members.

To tell ya the truth this club is not going to grow to epic proportions untill we stop losing members we have a very bad turn over rate where we lose alot of focus members a year. When we first started we were all uneducated about the car but then slowly we learned more and more, but those people that have learned so much have left now and then the newbies have started to take over. What I have seen lately is that alot of the newbies think they are allllways right and when someone shots down an idea for there car or express dislike for an opinon the war of words begins, this is bull s**t you came here posting something asking for some answers and you dont like what you got so you freak out. Its time for some more tech s**t and less posting about lights, hack intakes, and strut bars, if you want some info on that s**t hit up the search button there is tons of s**t about it. Theres been so many rice topics lately that I just click on Focus Talk and then just click the X on the window. Back in the day I would have said my peice and then Dan would jump in write something up also and bam you wouldnt see anymore topics about that s**t. Now everyones soooooooo nice and sooooooo cautious of what to say around here.

WE ARE A CLUB!...why because everytime I tell my friends "oh Im going to my focus club meet" or "yeah I got this for a good price because Im part of that focus club", I dont say "Im going to this social gathering where we all have focuses" it sounds so gay...............We should be acting like a dam club not like a social gathering where everyone whines or has stupid inside jokes.

This board has way to many people that want to be leaders and people following them. I like whos in charge now and I respect them What they say Im 100% behind them if I dissagre then I dissagre Im not going to attack them and tell em to dam off.

Steve I love how your pissed its a side of you I havent seen in awhile but it would piss me off to when I would have to moderate this bullshit on a daily bassis.
I drive a 2010 Golf that growls at people when it goes over 3000rpm.
