Okay....so i live in a condo and park underground 3 levels so i have a lot of turning and decending to do.
I noticed a few weeks back that SOMETIMES when I am turning to go down the next level (you know how underground condo parking is so cramped) I hear and feel a small grinding and vibration noise from the car. At first I thought it was one of those "slow down ripples" in the pavement (not the big speed bumps but the those tiny little rugged or rippled patches of road usually on highways to slow you down when heading into a curve or turn). But then I saw that the underground parking pavement is totally smooth and has no speed bumps or those rugged patches of ripples to vibrate the car/tires.
So everytime i come back home to park underground, I tried it at different speeds and intensities (turning the steering wheel). If I drive slowly and turn the steering wheel slowly i don't hear or feel the grind.....but if i go a little faster and turn steering wheel with more authority I hear the grind and feel the brief vibration on the car.
Now it doesn't really happen when i go uphill to leave the underground parking...i think i heard it only once or twice going up.
Do you have any idea what it could be? Whether the car is going up or down and turning aggressively or gently shouldn't really matter right? The car should never be vibrating or making grinding sounds when steering right?
The car drives absolutely fine and I never hear or feel the grinding or vibration when I make turns on street level....only when I am going to park underground in my condo.
