Well I don't have an 05, but I've seen plenty with hubcaps, and I know that they don't make 16" steelies, so I call BS on them.

Didnt the 05's get a version of the SVT brakes? I could be wrong here, but that would explain why you need 16"'s......

I got an 05....but all the foci will be the same...you can put 14", 15", 16"....etc..provided that you compensate with the tire...

and yes, they make steelies in all sorts of sizes.....at least 18" steelies cause I've seen em in person! They probably got bigger ones too,...a guy I work with has 17" steelies on toyo winters on a 2006 altima

I just thought about this...maybe they meant that you can only fit 16" wheels on the tires you got on currently!?? Perhaps they assumed that you werent' going to be getting new winter rubber to go on the 15" steelies?!?

Although, most places would want to try and push a sale of 4-tires or would have a winter package!??@?#@

hmm

I wouldn't bet on 14" fitting. Ford increased the diameter of the front brakes for 05 and increased the standard wheel to 15" -- so 15" steelies should fit, but nothing smaller.

You may want to check out the OFOC web site. They have a page about rims and tires that fit the different year Foci. Here is a link to the page.

Tire Sizes for Focus

Hope this helps.

true
and what does that have to do with
getting 15s or 16s
he could get 4-bolt steelies!

i was just saying 16s for steelies are out there, cause someone said they didn't

maybe, they meant that they don't make 16'' in the 4-bolt for the foci, but i doubt it

As I was saying, no one makes a 16" 4 bolt steelie for the Focus, believe me I've checked! 1000 SVT owners can't be wrong.....

WTF are you guys talking about?

The 05 Focus is a 4-bolt pattern on the same spacing and offset as the 00-04. It's the same damn running gear! 15s with winters will work fine.

If the brakes are a tad bigger, I wouldn't try the 14s. The only exception to the 15s would be the ST... it's an unknown for me.

Anything 15" for the 05 Focus in steel will work. 16" steels won't work, but who cares and wants a 16", lower-profile snow tire? That's a wider contact patch and it defeats the purpose!

http://ford.ca/main/default.asp?language=e...ars&model=Focus

The 05 ZX4 S has 15" steelies. Order a set. Done. Or head to the wreckers.

Yes, 15" steelies will fit on a zx5.
A tire shop will not allow you to go down in size ( to protect their asses from lawsuits) unless you are having winter tires installed.
What snow tires are ya looking at? Where were you told you couldn't get 15" steelies?

Yes you can use factory 16's off another Focus, that's what I had to do to clear the SVT's brakes, but keep in mind that any 16" snow tire will probably be more expensive than a 15" snow tire.

true!

i got a good deal on my Viking Snowtechs from Tires23
they are affiliated with TM3 but $640 rims and rubber for 205/55R16
i am not sure that that tire would fit for the focus, but i am finding them to be excellent winters! at least so far! and i am sure they would be reasonable priced!
