9600 Pros always OCed nice. They kicked my 9800 Pro around the block for OCing.

My vid card overclocks decently, but it's quite stout at stock speeds anyways.

ATi X800XL 256MB - 400/490 stock (DDR3 980), 435/550 OCed.

My Athlon 1.33GHz with my Nvidia Geforce 2 work just fine at home. :o

I rather drive fast in my car then have my computer "compute" fast.

I bought an X800GT :( I got mixed up with the XL and GT stuff. Overclocks alright on the GPU side but the RAM will NOT overclock more tha 9 MHz... it's horrible. 10 MHz and the system either freezes or your screen goes funky. Cheap RAM...

Normal: 475/490
Overclocked: 621/499.5

I run it at 299/299 normally until I start a game. Keeps temps down a degree or two and saves a little power. ATITool is great because as soon as a 3D application is launched you can have it automatically set the speeds to your overclocked settings, and then revert back after the game closes.

Decided to OC some more tonight, found out my damn BIOS menu is an entire .05 behind what it says the comp is getting... set it to 1.45, get 1.4... etc.

Here's some more fun stuff:

That makes me wonder sometimes... cuz mine is similar.. what is the processor REALLY getting then? the BIOS amount? is the sensor or whatever actually reading the correct amount? which is right? etc... oh well as long as it works i guess.

Have you seen the 8-phase asus board? that should be good for overclocking, nice consistant power stream and all. But who knows.

Gotta love the Lanparty w/ OCZ platinum.

I figure once DFI comes out with a 32xsli board, Like the A8N32SLI, i'll grab that. and let the real overclocking begin

(i'll probably eventually grab another 7800gtx)

If I want nekkidness, I'll go upstairs :)

Oh wait, just did that.

I <3 Scooba's vid card. Apparently the SLI-DR Expert is MASSIVELY different than the original SLI-DR, and those who aren't used to super-finicky settings should stay away!

That includes me.

I reverted back to 2.5GHz after NFS:MW crashed to the desktop twice in a row, but nothing else bad happened. Nothing else since going back to 2.5GHz, either. Such is the way when you're OCing two cores... double the sensitivity and wackiness. A LOT of guys forget that.

Soon you'll be able to overclock Macs, they'll have Intels! (not saying you couldn't overclock a mac as it stands right now, I've just never heard of such a thing)
