Ah yes, You have learned well my little Habman. We are looking at moving up in the world of house, and unfortunately, mortgages.

I can't believe bunny didn't get this as I told him about us maybe moving to Guelph.

Anyway, we are set for the big appointment for Thursday at 10am. First people to view and purchase at this new area in Aberfoyle.

We'll see if we get it or not. It's really just up to us now and take the big leap to a $400+ house.

Funniest thing about this property. It's an Adult Lifestyle community. It is meant as an investment property where we would of course live, but I can just image having a Focus meet there with all the blue hairs preening over your car. :D

Man I am getting old in a hurry.

Well they'll love the green old man Focus when you come to visit!

My grandfather owned a green sedan. In 1972.

In fact, now that I remember, my grandfather died in that car. Then my dad got the car and he had a heart attack in that car. Then my dad sold the green beast to my uncle who had his foot run over by the car (long story), had the foot amputated, and eventually died of gangreen due to the amputation!

You should sell the green monster now!

Well we put down the "initial interest offering", which means we get a number (9) and we are in line to choose our lot. There are 12 lots on the lake, so it looks like we will get the lot we want.
Problem........We can only afford the smallest house they are building. The houses start at $350k, plus ugrade lot fee of $20+ and upgrades, which will probably be in the range of $35-50k and that is our budget max.
I can only imagine the houses that start at $550, then lot fee, then upgrades.
But as a smart real estate investor will tell you, buy the smallest house on your street and you'll make the most financial gains as others look at the selling price of your home compared to the selling price of the house next door and suddenly yours looks very attractive and affordable.

So another date is set for mid January for us to get our $$$ in place and make the final decision.
But my wife says she wants it.
