I picked up a set of eurolight leds from crappy tire for $11. I installed them under the dash but I think Im going to pick up another set just to get it a bit brighter.. I am very impressed. They included all the wiring and a switch. Nice little mod to do. Me and focis8nt are going to do his and wright up a little tutorial. It can be a confusing thing to do if you havent played with the fuse box before..

Yeah I heard they are pretty good. I got the "old fashioned" neons under my dash as well as under my car, look awesome at night, especially the under the dash ones.

If everyone is really interested in using leds. I can do a write up on using the ones from an electronics store. You can achieve better illumination with less lights for a fraction of the cost.

Yeah I would like to see that, especially pics. I know the neon kit I got (Eurolite Elite Kit) throws a ton of neon, and super bright as well as consistent even glow. I know my kit cost me around 500 with all the installation stuff (did the install myself). I know LEDs are way cheaper. Anyway, that would be awesome, looking forward to the writeup.

Let me know the different set ups that you are looking for.
ie. what you want to be lit up and how, etc. (interior, exterior) one of my original ideas was to build a kit that would lit up the whole underbody of the car (including wheel wells)
As well if everyone is looking for the same type of areas to be lit up I can look into circuit boards being made, and then you can tailor what colours you use etc. As well I can look into the tri-colour leds if people are interested. I'm not 100% sure what the cost of them is but its only a matter of going to a shop and asking some questions :D

My next suggestion is totally serious.
What about a KIT scanner for the front grill?
I would be interested in an underdash write up, DIY or CT product.

I got mine somewhere around 2 years ago, they were about 350 taxes paid my price plus I rewired them twice. The prices of neons have come down seriously. I used to have them on a Geo Metro, my car before the focus. Was heavy into stereo comps (Best SPL was 154db). I would never in a million years pay that again, let alone buy them but I had them so I stuck them on the focus.

That was simple. I got two ten inch bars wired up under there hooked into a switch.

I actually got to test them out tonight and I think one more LED on each side will be perfect... With the one LED you can only see the glow if inside the car. I like the white..LOL How ever its hard to find the white lights here...

11 for two leds? For the non-do-it-yourselfer, these are quite expensive....

Yow, $11 for 2 LEDs? Does that include a switch?
Can you run regular LEDs on the power from the fusebox without having to put resistors or whatever in there? I'm not so great with electronics, I havent taken any physics classes since highschool..

Depends on the resistance of the LED itself. Eurolite and Varad both have these small led kits made especially for car useage for accents so they are pretty much just ground and wire and your off to go. Just insert a switch on the hot wire and your good to go.

Those eurlite leds are sweet. Exactly what i got. Include switch and everything you need to hook them up. I picked up 2 6" led varad bars in white today. Im also looking a Varad undeglow kit that is fully custom. Over 10,000 colors and tons of other features..

Meh... my car will be a Radioshack special once I get the time and patience.
I saw the kit at lunch... I can do WAY better on my own, but thanks for the heads-up anyways!
