Okay,

I want to take some pics of the LED's glowing all PURTY in my dash, Now how do I take a shot of that....without having a dark picture with pretty blue lights in the center and sides.

I have a pretty good Digital Camera....but i'll admit, i haven't used all the features on it...(not bad, had it for a year too)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Use da flash :D, longer exposure times, also help too if u know how to use the manual settings on your camera if u actually have manual settings.

Use the night setting for exposure (usually a moon symbol on the ring.) It holds the exposure longer to pick up natural light sources in the dark and then it blips the flash to light up the dark areas right at the end. It gives a more natural night time picture with existing light sources rather than the un-natural glare of a strong flash.

With the longer exposure make sure you have a steady hand or use a tripod to avoid blur.

1) get a tripod
2) set the camera to night mode or just turn the flash off
3) set to highest quality or raw
4) set drive mode to 2 second delay
5) hit the button, walk away from the camera (in a windless spot preferrably)

send the resulting picture to me... I'll make sure you see more than just the light.

ie... extreme example, but consider I was just trying to clearly capture the gap between the a-pillar and pod.

Drive over the rockies, and let me take it for you. Photography is my side gig.

- Long exposure
- NO FLASH! EVER! This will make ugly reflections and wash out the image
- Tripod/secure place to mount it.
- Set a self timer.... most cameras give you 10 seconds

Really depends on your camera and your available settings.

I was joking about the flash. Was at work and have short periods of times in which you can actually type without some supervisor walking by seeing I'm actually not working at all. Night mode, tripod, or rest on something that will sit still, longer exposure to let in more light. And you should be pimpin.
