Interesting Question Time
#1
When I mounted the new tinted corners yesterday, I noticed that my car has the standard fog light harnesses hanging down. It appears they'll fit the proper grille (which I'm working on getting), but one thing remains: how the heck will I control them?

Anyone know how this works, or are they auto-magically controlled by the headlight switch? Will I need something from the dealer?

Thanks guys.

On regularly equipped focus' the same switch for your parking, markers, etc is the same to turn on the fogs...(put the switch at the way to the right and pull out),..

If you got the harnesses and this switch, i'm sure it would be just a matter of connecting the wires to the switch and hooking up your fogs...

although, you may need a new switch from a fog-capable focus....or make your own seperate toggle switch, and mount it..

Thats wicked dude!

All you need to do is pick up the headlight switch with the fogs(probably cheapest from tha wreckers) and get a relay for under the hood ( and mod the relay so you can use the fogs without the headlights) and you're set!

PS sorry i'm taking so long with my kit, but i swear you'll have those fogs soon!

Gord, no worries man :) I didn't make this post to slam ya, was just curious in the meantime :D

So I gotta go to the wreckers, get a headlight-capable switch, and a relay for under the hood. Check.

And then mod for fogs without full headlights? The DRLs come on anyways, what's the diff?

I'm more curious about tinting the buggers and then slapping Silverstar bulbs in there :D

You could just pull your DRL relay and use it for the fogs....

just realized too, i have an extra relay from when i pulled my DRLs, just have to find it

Oh and don't worry about silver stars for tha fogs i already have 55w super whites in there....... More than bright enuff
