Rims
#1
Im seriously thinking about selling the Konig Verdicts and getting some nice 18" 15 spoke Team Dynamics. I was also checking out some ST170 rims. Lately all I want is the full euro look. Yes I dug myself a hole. I bought so much crap and now Im trying to sell it to get other stuff lol.

I wanna stay with a 45 wheel but just want to go 18", lighter and in gun metal. The verdicts are crazy heavy. There more of a show bling bling rim witch Im not after any more. I want quality thow. The Konigs were a very nice qaulity rim and I cant imagine what they would look like now if they were not.

So far I got the Team Dynamics, OZ and ST170. Any more out there to reccomend. I am also trying to find weights on these rims but I cant find it anywhere.

I'll be the first to vote out the ST170's. They're nice rims, they are true euro, but I just don't like them. They almost look like they're 16's for some reason.

But thats just my humble opinion.

I also felt the same way. They seem so small..

I know I am planning on 'OZ' next summer and was leaning to 18z since I already got 16z on my car. Seems pretty pointless for me to go from 16z to 17z. Still would be nice to get some aftermarket rims though. If you go with some new rims, were you planning on selling the ones you have now?

Personally the ST170s are my favorites out of those choices..Super clean and stock, but looking good.

But I guess any of those choices are going to be expensive.. but hey, you're made of money so it doesnt matter :D

I like the ST170's too but I'm hesitant to move to 17" wheels. I just can't imagine what it would be like driving on 18" around here. I think their life expectancy would be measured in days.

I'm leaning towards OZ 16" for myself.

The ricer in me wants the 17" OZ Chronos
The AutoXer wants the 16" OZ's
The anal part of me wants a wheel that'll clear the brake calipers without a spacer...

I would sell the rims I got now but Im not sure how much I would sell them for. I payed way to much for them and I know for a fact I wont get what I payed for them ($2700) but even if I can get at least close to around $2000 Im happy. I just 15 spoke rims really bad

Yeah it's going to be hard to sell them, since the bolt pattern restricts your potential customers.. but if its any consolation, 15 spoke wheels would look incredible on your car. :D

centerline RPMs i think are among the lightest you will be able to get.. as far as i know they are the only forged wheels in the focus bolt circle

OZ superleggeras are pretty close in weight to the centerlines though

the rota knockoff of the racing hart cp035 is not too heavy either

just a thought.. if you get 18"s you won't even be able to see the rear drums.. the front brakes will look very small..

I to been thinking about even down sizing and getting more rubber. Thats the other option.

i've been trying for the longest time to find a set of light 15x7 wheels that fit the focus.. but no luck :(

i thought at one point there was a GB on FJ for 15x7 rotas but i think that may have fallen through... if it went through then rota has the tooling for the wheels and you might be able to get a set

another thing though.. is that pretty much the most you can stuff into the wheel wells without rubbing is 215mm wide tires right? or can 225s barely fit?

because the azenis sport rated at 205mm people have used their ruler and measured 219mm

so if you got azenis sport in 205/50/15 over some OEM wheels you'd have almost as much rubber as the max you could get, and it would be way way cheaper

you could go really hardcore and get 14" steelies off a LX and get A032Rs or something insane like that.. hahaha

what good is more horsepower if I can't get it effectively to the ground?
So I get to thinking about tires... which get me to thinking about wheels.

darkpuppet.. i vote for keeping the OEM 16s and getting some azenis sport

screw getting different wheels

can 15s clear those brakes ?

EDIT: why do you need new wheels? the OEM 16s are 6 inch wide right? there are some 205/45/16 size r comps out there.. and 205/55/16 also
