Trying to decide how dark to tint these...
Need to see how they'd look if I leave the silver part alone and only do the red
OR tint everything except a cutout for the reverse bulbs.
Also, going to paint my fake side vents.
All color-matched black to my car?
Shadow chromed?
Matte black?
Or colour matched to the car, minus the rectangular area with the word Focus on it?
As far as the tails... get the red part w/ the LEDs tinted and the chrome reverse light tinted, but i'd leave the reflector untinted or very lightly tinted
fender vents, colour match 'em and colour in the "focus" part with a colour of your choice
oh and get those key scrapes fixed before any of that

I hate the bright red color they've got going on when they're stock. The coupe tails look better because of the shadow chrome behind the lens makes them look darker.
Although I like the black black tails which hide the lights until you hit the brakes and they show out of nowhere, but I don't want tickets either.
Trying to find a happy medium that tones down the bright red into a dark ruby, and still lets most of the light through.

Keep in mind if you do get the LED tail lights come winter you'll have to make sure you check the back end of your car after every sno fall for ice and snow build up on them as they can't heat up to melt it off itself.

Hmmm, so I think I'm going to go with colour matching the entire thing. Leaving the bit of chrome sounded like a good idea but now that I can see it, it still looks out of place.
As for the lights, not quite what I meant. I'm debating between having the chrome part not tinted at all, just the red like the Photoshop you did, or if I should also do the chrome part, except a cutout for the reverse bulb.

Do leave the reverse lights open, they are really needed in a dark area when u back up. Trust me. I can't see frig all with mine.
