Blah! SPI no spark.
#1
Well I came around a corner, pinned `er and the SPI stopped firing. (148,000kms.) Left abandoned in a strange city. Got the car towed to a garage. Timing belt intact, turning over good. Had some studdering probems that were solved when I went with an MSD coil pack and escort wires before. Can't be breaking down like this.

Give this man a prize.

Mechanic said there was a bent pin. I'm usually pretty good at not messing stuff up like that. You'd think it would of failed, because I've been using it for quite some time now without problem. I also stuck with factory sparkplug wires after reading your comments concerning stock over aftermarket. Although I did have to switch to Escort SPI wires to fit the upgraded coil.

At least its a simple problem ! I do find it odd that it would just fail...damn cars wait until your in the middle of no where to break down.
