Transport Canada issues latest recalls
Ottawa, Ontario - Transport Canada has issued its latest recalls, which may affect some Toyota, BMW, Chrysler and GM vehicles.

2008 Toyota Highlander
Vehicles affected: Unknown

On certain vehicles, during the installation of an infant seat on the third-row seat, the seatbelt mechanism might revert back to the Emergency Locking Retractor mode, instead of an Automatic Locking Retractor Mode. Toyota has initiated a customer support program to provide replacement parts to prevent the retractor from reverting. Toyota Canada will notify owners of affected vehicles and request that they have the parts installed at no cost.

2008 Buick Enclave
2006-2008 Buick Lucerne
2006-2008 Cadillac DTS
2007-2008 Cadillac Escalade, ESV and EXT
2007-2008 Chevrolet Avalanche
2007-2008 Chevrolet Silverado
2007-2008 Chevrolet Suburban
2007-2008 Chevrolet Tahoe
2007-2008 GMC Acadia
2007-2008 GMC Sierra
2007-2008 GMC Yukon and Yukon XL
2006-2008 Hummer H2
2007-2008 Saturn Outlook
Vehicles affected: 54,403

On certain vehicles equipped with a heated washer fluid system, a short circuit on the printed circuit board for the fluid heater may overheat the control-circuit ground wire. This may cause other electrical features to malfunction, which could cause smoke and, in some cases, a fire. Dealers will install a wire harness with an in-line fuse.

2006-2008 Chevrolet HHR
Vehicles affected: 15,158

On certain vehicles, the door on the storage bin in the top centre of the instrument panel may not remain closed during an impact, and could result in personal injuries. Owners will receive a latch reinforcement, and with instructions to install it or to have their dealers install it.

2008 Dodge Sprinter 3500
Vehicles affected: 6

On certain vehicles, the left rear axle shaft could fracture and result in loss of driving power to the rear wheels. Dealers will inspect and replace the affected parts as necessary.

2008 Dodge Sprinter 2500
Vehicles affected: 30

On certain vehicles, the left rear springs may fail earlier than designed, due to incorrect raw material used in the manufacturing process. Dealers will replace the rear axle leaf springs.

2008-2009 Dodge Challenger
Vehicles affected: 700

Certain vehicles equipped with the “Keyless Go” option fail to comply with the requirements of CMVSS 114. If the remote entry transmitter is removed from the vehicle prior to pressing the stop/start button, the instrument cluster information centre displays a “fob not present” message, and if the stop/start button is pressed and held and the engine is turned off, the electronic key code is removed from the vehicle. Dealers will reprogram the wireless ignition node module on affected vehicles.

2008 Jeep Liberty
Vehicles affected: 70

On certain vehicles, the windshield and/or the fixed rear quarter glass may have been assembled using incorrect urethane adhesive. This could affect glass retention. Dealers will replace the windshield and/or fixed rear quarter glass on affected vehicles.

2008 BMW M3
Vehicles affected: 424

On certain vehicles, the tires may have been damaged during transportation, with transit at very low temperature causing cracking of the treads. If the treads are cracked, the tire may fail at high speed. Dealers will inspect the affected tires and replace them if necessary.

2003 Hummer H2
Vehicles affected: 356

On certain vehicles, water can enter the windshield wiper motor module. If a sufficient amount enters the module, the front wipers may work intermittently or not at all. Dealers will inspect the module cover and replace it if necessary.
I was the only member on this board with a Yellow Focus Sedan, and a 2002+ Euro Facelift on a sedan.

I had to laugh at this one " the left rear springs may fail earlier than designed" you mean they design the thing to fail??

Bad grammar, they should have said "may suffer from premature failure" so that Chrysler doesn't look like it's designing parts to destroy their own cars :D
