Started My Winter Projects....
#1
I had to practice using this stuff for a fellow member that i'm making some stuff for. Let me just say I'm not looking forward to it, this stuff is kevlar/carbon fiber weave and a heavy fabric. No doubt they make bullet proof vests out of kevlar, I went through about 5 razors on this stuff just go cut the holes, etc.

Anyway heres a quick pic, its a little shiney. I was thinking of redoing it in a clear mate finish but I think that would make it look like a botched job.

looks like mine!! + gauges... a diamond tipped dremel bit for rough cuts and a fine file to finish will save hrs,,, be Very careful adding new epoxy to make the finish deeper as the secondary bond tends to react and make steam packets out of ambient moisture that resemble pin hole size bubbles...

good job man!

Excellent work Kev.

Don't worry over the 1st one being shiney. You'll perfect it by the time you do your 10th.
