Ya, it will work but there is a lot of work. U really just need some compound, polish, rough sand paper up to a 3000 Grit paper after the rough stuff. and then polish the hell out of it.

The nice thing with the kit is that it comes with the drill attachment. Keep in mind, sanding will take the UV coating off of the lights, and they will re-yellow quicker, unless you clear-coat them.

I've used Meguiar's Plast-X with some success on my 9 year old headlights. Try some Plast-X with a terry cloth towel for some 'bite', then buff it off with a microfiber. You'll be surprised what it will do...

I have a bottle of 3M Headlight Polish that I used on a set of spare headlights. It worked really good until I got lazy and tried using a drill with a Cotton buffing wheel and burnt the lense. I think it was somewhere around $8 for the bottle.

i tried using sandpaper 400 800 1000 1500 2000
and used scratch remover, polisher and cleaner..
but clear coat on lens wasn't easy to get rid of..

i thought of using drill attachment but was too expensive to buy 1..

it didn't cut down fine scratches no matter how many times i buff..
