LOL, we are posting in each others threads. Luckily I haven't had 3 let go. Only the one. Good cal on the rear disc conversion, I would have gone that way but I just can't afford it. Can't wait to see it completed at a Masiv Monday meet in the near future.

So today I fixed my final issue with this problem. I picked up a rear ABS sensor from Evans Ford with thanks going to 06GTPony. I installed it tonight in the driveway and the ABS Light finally went out. All is back to normal. Woohoo!!!

TSB Wheel Bearing Kit which included the following

2 ABS Rings
2 Wheel Bearings (not used)
2 Hub Nuts
2 Rear Seals
2 Grease Caps

So far I am out of pocket about $70 and I am still going to have to buy a rear ABS Sensor which is about $50.  Mine got totally chewed when the bearing went.  But as of right now everything is working well including the ABS Light on the dash.  ;)

Is there a specific part number for this wheel bearing kit? Ford or Motorcraft number?

If this kit cost $70, thats an awesome deal. I'll be doing the rear brakes on my ZX5 one of these days, and I need to get the wheel bearings (which are like $50 each from what Ive been priced), but this kit seems to make more sense for what it includes and the price if it is so.

I still have the box in the hatch of my car. I will get the Part Number next time I am outside. I bought the kit from a member here who works at Evans Ford in Etobicoke. His screen name is 06GTPony and his name is Mark.

You can buy the drums with the bearings already installed which is what I did. But it failed and the jobber where I got the replaced them under warranty. I needed the kit for the ABS rings and axle nuts. ABS ring was damaged and the Axle Nut can only be re-0used so many time before they need replacing.

Yea that same guy is on the GTAMC as well (Greater Toronto Mustang Club).

I bought the drums without the bearings (raybestos white box) and Raybestos PG shoes (747PG).

But I like the price of that kit, since I was getting like $50 each bearing alone from Warden Automotive on Midland Ave. (No I didnt get the drums and shoes from them however.)

I picked up my loaded drums from Spark. I know the guys at Warden as well, say hi to Ron for me. Tell him Kevin from Wakefield says hello. I work for Castrol so we deal with all the jobbers in the area. I have a pair of bearings left over from the kit. I will let them go cheap if you want them. I don't have the seals, ABS rings, hub nuts, etc. as I used all that stuff. When I go back out for a smoke I will grab the box of parts and get you the p/n.

Sorry for the delay in getting the P/N for the kit. Here you go.

Only one kit is required to do both rear wheels.

F'ing cheap offshore garbage they sell now-a-days. So I had a issue again today on my way home from work. I got the same feeling all over again. Sqeeling, grinding and a lot of noise. 1 of the bearings in the replacement drums went, and the other was well on its way. I tell you someone is going to get an ear full tomorrow.

Luckily I had the replacement bearing left over from the TSB kit I picked up from 06GTPony when I needed to replace the ABS rings. It was after 6pm when I got home so straight to work I went. I removed the drums and went to Crappy Ripoff to have the $#!t bearing pressed out and the OEM Ford ones pressed in, and $100 later I was on my way home to reinstall them on the Focus.

Needless to say my night did not start well. Hopefully these ones hold up better than the crap ones I had before.

Dude that sucks ass. Let them have it and get some free stuff.

Yeah I called them this morning and because I can not return the complete units(drum w/bearings) I am pretty much up the creek. Not that I would have wanted the same parts again. But I do have a bag full of bits and pieces left from the bearings that are going to be thrown across the counter at the parts store. Now I have the OEM bearings in there from TSB kit so hopefully these ones last longer than the offshore garbage that were initially installed in the replacement drums.

So, from what I'm getting from this, I should buy the Ford loaded drums, and not the jobber ones? :)

s***ty deal man, s***ty deal...

I think we're both having bad luck with rear brakes.

On the way home this morning, I noticed that mine is making the same noise it was making in the last post I made about changing my rear brakes.

WTF.

Don't let them go for too long or you will in the same boat as me.

Oh crap! That sucks!!

I havent got around to getting the bearing kit just yet from Ford for my car, but I did get a price on them from the dealer.

Wonder what the reason was that they failed so quickly?
What brand were these loaded drums that you got from the parts jobber?

Complete Failure, Again! Check Pg. 2 - Focus man. Focus. - 09-05-2009

The name on the box says QUALITY AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS, but they were far from it. On my way to the jobber this morning to have this sorted out.
