Painting Rims - Ignited83 - 03-21-2010 anyone know where i can get rims painted? Painting Rims - castone - 03-22-2010 Do it yourself, it's really easy to do. Grab some high heat primer, some dupli-color wheel paint, and some really fine grit sand paper. Painting Rims - konafocuswrc - 03-22-2010 yes paint it yourself.. i painted mine using vht paint and last 4 years before i sold.. i still have 1 spare i painted and still looks fresh.. all you gotta do is to sand current surface bare to metal or until you see primer apply primer 1 light, 2 med wet coat.. 2 light base color, 2 med wet coat..and let it dry and clearcoat 2 light, 2 med wet.. on the car Painting Rims - Jmountney1 - 03-22-2010 i sandblasted the rims i had on my zx3 then duplucolered them. they looked good id defiantly suggests you at least try it your self first. worst case your out like $20 and your time Painting Rims - Lowe9 - 03-23-2010 Duplicolour Wheel Paint is the way to go. Just make sure to use a good self etching primer. Normal primers won't properly bond to aluminum due to the slight layer of oxidation. Painting Rims - Ignited83 - 03-23-2010 thanks for all the tips |
