IIRC the brake light not only indicates the e-brake is on, but also is used to indicate problems with the braking system in general - you may for example want to check your brake fluid level. RE: Ebrake Light - 1seensvt - 07-11-2012 i had the same prob with my mazda and the rear brake was leaking and made the brake fluid low RE: Ebrake Light - oldeguy - 07-12-2012 I had this problem with my 2000 ZTS, the drum brake wheel cylinders ( I think that's what they are called) leak. Check your brake fluid levels. RE: Ebrake Light - Chromey - 07-12-2012 I have no leaks But my fluid is at the Min line. Ill fill it and see what happends. RE: Ebrake Light - konafocuswrc - 07-12-2012 most likely, you will need to get rear drum serviced. Was thinking that, They have never been touched, 125XXXKM RE: Ebrake Light - sonic_mikey - 07-12-2012 rear drum=wheel bearing change as well. BTW, buy the drums from Ford. At my work we've had nothing but headaches using anything aftermarket. |
