I stayed outta the aftermath of the charges being dropped in this thread, but ultimately it was the Crown's call to make.
IE: Did the Crown have enough evidence of Bryant's guilt
IOW could they prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Bryant set out to either deliberately harm the victim or that Bryant acted recklessly under the circumstances based on the evidence
Based on what we know I would say the answer is no.
