Sure it blows your plans out. But I'm inclined to agree, Go. I'm assuming your lodging is paid for and you get a per diem. If that's the case, paid summer in Montreal would be worth doing once.
My only suggestion and this is after a "3 month" contract in Ottawa (read 9 months!!) Is don't miss out on seeing the city. I stupidly played the corporate hero and worked 12hr days, totally messing up my summer and missed out on plenty of good times.

I won't lie either, until you get to know some folks there'll be some pretty boring nites.

I say go for it Puppet, it would be good for you, not to mention you'd get to speak in another lingo to the ladys.
I was the only member on this board with a Yellow Focus Sedan, and a 2002+ Euro Facelift on a sedan.
