it is all depends on what you are getting, and what you are using it for..

relay draws less amp(around 250 miliamp) to get energized to trigger what is hooked up to..it is giving you upto 30~40 amp of output(for regular relay, spdt)..

if the button is not rated for 30~40 amp, then i recommend you to add relay..

Totally agree on this....although I was assuming, maybe wrongly, that if the unit he buys is a START button, it would come with instructions telling him he needed a relay if that was the case. However, always better to check.....wouldn't want a melt down the first time you use it :o

if you get one of the switches from performance pc's you WILL NOT need a relay. ive had mine for 5 months use it evertime i start the car and no troubles

sorry i saw this a lil late the S2000 button or all these "OEM" style push starts are a waste of money ignited performance right here in toronto(markham or scarborough) sell complete kits in any colour u want and they wire in no problem don't ask me how though i didn't do it. if u ever have any question that u think i might know the answer just pm me

i don't know canadian price but when i was in state, i only paid $47 for it..

either hes advertising for them lol or maybe because you have to get a relay it may cost more. i checked out the S2000 buttons they're like 35 now. i feel pretty good getting mine for 15 bucks, no relay needed and it has a green led ring around it. money well spent as far as im concerned.

were are you guyz finding s2000 buttons for 50$ i called honda in saskatoon and they want well over 100 $$

very nice, reminds me of my first car, though that wasnt by choice. i hid mine under the steering column on the right side and i always thought it was funny when the mechanics came back out all embarassed cuz they couldn't start my car! lol,
