or regular steel wire brush works better removing rust?

Just used it on front brake parts bought from Hardc0re. Won't dissolve rust chips, but will attack rust. I personally chipped/scraped a major of the rust off with a chisel. Then soaked in this stuff overnight. Next day, used a little propane torch until the parts dried. What remained were little light colored flakes that came off really well with a wire-brush attachment in a drill.
For $10, it's worth it. But for me, there was still allot of elbow grease needed.
