Ohh I know I wouldn't regret it and I oh so very much want to go... the $6-800 itself to go down isn't so much a problem in itself... it's just everything else...
New summer tires (two tires two bulges, 4 bald)
New front brakes - I have a sticky caliper and I wanted to do an upgrade here for autocross
"Timing Belt" (more on this later)
Finish my euro front end (need to get the plugs for the euro corners and fogs and get the upper ghia grill)
Refinish my 6 spokes
And more things as they arise...
So, saving up $800 is fine and all... getting my focus there is a whole different story and I just did the clutch and lwfw so nothing else is happening for the next little while.
